ENGIE Fabricom can provide sacrificial anode installation, to ensure corrosion protection within the monopile.

We have successfully delivered a large number of projects to install internal anodes.

Our demonstrable experience and robust procedures ensure a seamless end-to-end process.

We work in collaboration with our clients to develop the appropriate installation method below the airtight deck to enable the anodes to be placed within the internal water.

We have the capability to complete the installation of anodes from the initial site setup, development of RAMS and safety briefings, mobilisation of personnel and equipment through to the offshore installation.

We provide a fully optimised solution utilising our competent in-house technicians.

This is supported with our testing and commissioning team that work with our offshore technicians to sign off this installation process and hand back the turbine to the client.

Typically, projects consist of:

  • Onshore site set-up of facilities
  • Vessel charter if required
  • Load transfer vessels and transportation of technicians to the field
  • The setup of foundation to include all safety equipment, components and access and egress
  • Installation of ventilation systems under the airtight deck within the confined space
  • Painting and paint inspection to NORSOK M501 standards
  • Installation of internal anodes in accordance with the developed installation procedures
  • Inspection of the final installed ventilation system
  • Test and commission the installed anodes and sign-off
  • De-mobilisation of equipment from the foundation back to the onshore base
