Mental Health First Aiders

By November 27, 2020No Comments

For years, many people across the world have been experiencing some form of mental health illness, whether it be anxiety or depression or just feeling stressed with life.  However this year, more and more people have been finding it difficult to cope as a result of the COVID pandemic, the lockdowns and restrictions or just not being able to see family and friends.

Even though talking about mental health has become much more common, there is still a real stigma when it comes to the workplace, many employees find it hard to speak up until they are really struggling to cope.

At ENGIE Fabricom, one of our core values is Caring, and as a Company these are extremely important to us, shaping our culture – our people and their safety are our main priority

Over the last few years we have run numerous mental health and wellbeing campaigns, making our people aware that help is available to them if needed.  We have trained a number of Mental Health First Aiders within the Company and are in the process of training many more.

Having more Mental Health First Aiders across the organisation we hope will encourage more people to talk about their feelings and / or situations, allowing us to provide them with the help they need to enable recovery at an early stage.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do.
