ENGIE Fabricom Excellence Awards – Recognising Innovation in our Business, The Deep, Hull

ENGIE Fabricom celebrated a successful evening of their 10th anniversary of their ‘ENGIE Fabricom Excellence Awards 2016’ at The Deep in Hull.  The event was designed to celebrate and encourage not only the young individuals who have excelled this year but also for employees who have contributed to the company.

The awards ceremony hosted this year by Blair Jacobs, Broadcaster/Media Consultant and Yvonne Day, Resource and Development Director ENGIE Fabricom UK, with guest appearances from Sgt Major Gaz Jones and LCpl Alexis McNaughton who represented the Red Devils Parachute Regiment.

Dignitaries joined in congratulating our apprentices, graduates and employees as they were rewarded for their efforts and achievements throughout the year.  Those who have surpassed expectation and those who have coached and mentored them through their development were awarded at the ceremony.  The main awards included Apprentice Engineering Technician Award which was awarded to joint winners Nick Wingate and Tom Laverick, and also the Higher Achiever Award which was won by Stuart Dunn. Mentors and Coaches to the award winners including; Andy Hills, Mike Bee, Jeff Noble and Mike Ketley also picked up awards.

Other awards included the Long Service Awards ranging from 15-25 years’ service and also the Chartered Manager Awards which was won by Muhammad Musa (Level 3) and Mark Wingate (Level 5).

Yvonne Day, Resource and Development Director UK said  “This whole event shows our continued support in individuals development throughout the organisation.  We need a new generation of talent entering the world of engineering and construction.  We are committed to making sure all employees of today get the opportunities they need to realise their full potential. It is the drive and ambition that we celebrate here that will help us shape the future and help us thrive as a business.”

Gaz Jones, Sgt Major of the Red Devils Parachute Regiment added  “This was the first time that we have been asked by a large company to speak at an awards evening.  We were extremely impressed by the professionalism and team spirit of all the attendees, well done to all involved on a fantastic evening.
