Danny Smith, ENGIE Fabricom’s Senior Project Manager for the East Region has recently received an award for a paper produced.
The paper, titled: A-Frame Rocker Bearing Replacement at Humber Bridge, UK was co-authored by himself and John Collins, from Arup and was published in the ICE (Institute of Civil Engineers) proceedings journal last year.
In October this year, the paper was awarded the Bill Curtin Medal (Research and Innovation Medal for the best paper published describing innovative design in civil engineering) at the ICE Headquarters in London.
As such, the paper is now available to read on the ICE Virtual Library, link below.
Danny comments: “It’s not exactly Dan Brown but the ICE proceedings journal publishes around 400 peer-reviewed research papers each year, a number of which are often free to view for members”
