We are extremely pleased to announce that Elicia Bones won this year’s IChemE Hull and Humber Young Engineer of the Year Award 2019.  The prevalent leading event was held last week at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Hull where businesses from numerous industries gathered to celebrate accomplishments achieved throughout the year.

The Young Chemical Engineer of the year award recognises the exceptional achievements of any chemical or process engineer under the age of thirty-five living or working in the Hull and Humber region.

Elicia was nominated by Simon Lewis, our Consultancy Manager and Muhammad Musa, Senior Process Engineer at ENGIE Fabricom for her outstanding delivery and service to clients.

Since joining ENGIE Fabricom’s graduate programme in 2017 from Sheffield University, Elicia quickly showed a great technical aptitude combined with the interpersonal skills necessary to be successful within the business environment.  Elicia works directly with our clients to develop and agree scopes of work, right through to the delivery of projects to cost, quality and schedule requirements, and most importantly meeting the needs of the customer.

Paul Carvill, COO of ENGIE Fabricom – who also heads process safety and engineering and design – said: “Elicia is an incredible engineer and a valued member of the team.  Winning the Young Chemical Engineer of the year award honours all Elicia’s hard work and accomplishments and we’re extremely proud of her.”

The award follows ENGIE Fabricom’s win of the Team Award at the same event.  The team was rewarded after successfully completing a project on behalf of NIPPON GOHSEI (NGUK) at its EVOH plant based in Hull.  Read about it here.
