ENGIE Fabricom is pleased to announce that Chief Operating Officer, Paul Carvill, has been elected Vice President to the Management Board of the Engineering Construction Industry Association (ECIA).
Paul, who has been part of the team at ENGIE Fabricom for a number of years, will advise, guide and support the ECIA – the principle trade and employee association in the UK – as it continues to champion best practice in the Engineering and Construction industries throughout the Management Board and Council.
Speaking about his appointment, Paul said: “It is a real honour to be elected to this role and to support and guide the ECIA Board as it continues to drive best practice across the Engineering and Construction sectors.
“I have always been committed to supporting these key industries – especially in the face of the current global challenges – and remain even more so in making sure these industries are seen as appealing to job entrants, attract strong talent and, most importantly, that the ECIA remains at the forefront of driving standards of best practice.”
The ECIA provides its members with a collective voice to represent their interests on all matters affecting their industry. It is supported by a statutory Industry Training Board and, in partnership with two other employers’ associations and two trade unions (Unite and GMB), it operates the National Agreement through the industry’s National Joint Council.
