Jonathan Charles, Graduate Process Engineer at Engineering Solutions has successfully completed the ‘Nuclear Training Program for Junior Engineers’ conducted by ENGIE.
The program initially entails one year of training, combining theoretical learning with field experience. Technical modules include: safety/security, nuclear safety, radiation protection, nuclear fundamentals, fuel cycle, pressurised water reactors, spent fuel management and decommissioning, maintenance of nuclear power plants etc.
These modules are also accompanied by non-technical modules to develop essential skills for those looking to develop into a nuclear manager role with skills such as: communication, human resources, management behaviour all on the curriculum.
The course allows junior engineers to become a nuclear generalist while forging a solid network within the group.
Jonathan commented “The course was extremely beneficial for those looking to develop further knowledge within the nuclear field and provided an overall background to the industry. I would definitely recommend the program to others interested in this field. The program also enabled me with a platform to learn more about the ENGIE Group and the opportunity to develop connections amongst the other ENGIE subsidiary companies.”
