ENGIE Fabricom delivers food and toys to local charity

By | Charity

With Christmas fast approaching and our thoughts turning to buying presents, food and drink for family and friends, staff at ENGIE Fabricom have been thinking about those less fortunate who do not have access to food stocks over the festive period.

Supporting the charity CARE, located in Grimsby and dedicated to relieving poverty, hardship and distress to those in need, ENGIE Fabricom’s East region has been busy collecting donations of food and toys to help vulnerable and disadvantaged families across North East Lincolnshire.

Every year leading up to Christmas CARE runs a Toys for Joy Scheme giving over 1,000 gifts out to children in need and a Fill Your Own Hamper Scheme helping provide families with food etc.

All the donations below were delivered this morning to the local collection point, where they will be distributed, helping provide families with food and Christmas goodies. The toys that were donated will enable children of all ages to wake up on Christmas morning to a gift.

A massive thank you to everyone who donated.

Dear Sarah – Fantastic! Thank you ever so much.
We sorted through your donations yesterday afternoon and they were brilliant and so generous. Please thank everyone involved and I will be in touch in the new year to let you know how the project went.

ENGIE Fabricom’s 10 Pin Bowling Night

By | News

Over 40 ENGIE Fabricom staff attended the 10 Pin Bowling competition in Scunthorpe on Monday 20 November.

The evening was a great success, even if some of the bowling prowess was questionable.

It was good to see the event attended by so many from all areas of the East business unit, from those with 35 years’ service, through to new staff who have only started in recent weeks.

It has been a while since the last competition, but Phil Edgerton managed to find the trophy he won last time, and this time it was presented to Siobhan Gaughan, who topped the chart for the females.  Closely on Siobhan’s heals were; Emily Garton and Emily Saville-Woods, in second and third respectively.

Phil just managed to retain the male title by 2 points, over his colleague Alex Myers, with James Walker in third place.
