ENGIE Fabricom Raises a Massive £770 for Macmillan

By | charity | No Comments

ENGIE Fabricom’s East and North East regions held coffee mornings on Friday 29th September in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Together the total amount raised by the Company was an incredible £770.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event by either baking or buying cakes, taking part in the sweepstakes, having a go at balancing a 20p coin on a lemon as well as generously donating to such a worthwhile cause.

The winners of the sweepstakes “Guess the Height of the Cakes” were Abbey Kitson and Andy Scott – well done to both of you for exactly guessing 94cm.

The whole Company would like to wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

Great Fund Raising from the Team at Shepperton

By | Corporate News | No Comments

Jon-Paul Irvine (son of Paul Irvine, Project Manager at ENGIE Fabricom) and his friend Richard Woodhouse pushed Dan Woodhouse around the Great North Run, half marathon course to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

With a modified jogger type pushchair to enable Dan to carry his ventilator and medical supplies, as well as keeping him comfortable whilst being pushed, the guys completed the course in a fantastic time of 2 hours 31 minutes, despite the wheelchair suffering a puncture before even crossing the start line!  In total they raised an incredible £6,983.76 of which £1,000 of that was raised by the ENGIE Fabricom team on the M+W site, Shepperton.

Richard and Dan commented:  “Our father suffered from heart disease as well as our uncle so we have seen first hand the incredible benefits of heart medication and clinical trials in improving quality of life.  We would like to thank everyone who sponsored us.”
