Neil Hagger, Rigger and Steel Erector for ENGIE Fabricom has been awarded an SBO award by M+W Group while working on the Energy Works Hull, Waste to Energy site.

Neil noticed that a grouting operative was using a scabbler and not wearing any goggles or visor, which could have resulted in small fragments of grout damaging his eyes. Neil explained to the grouter the importance of wearing the correct PPE and that a visor or goggles would be more appropriate.

Matt Welch, HSE Advisor commented: “It is great to see the contribution to site safety that ENGIE Fabricom is making and this is an example of where we can all use our own experience to the benefit of others.”
