As part of a reorganisation within the Engineering Design department, Richard Goodwin is to undertake a new role as 3D Modelling Administrator.  This new position will ensure that the latest technology is operated seamlessly between all disciplines, and allows ENGIE Fabricom to become one of the first companies in the UK to utilise a combined Autodesk Plant 3D and Advance Steel / Revit platform.

Richard’s duties will include taking responsibility for the administration of ENGIE Fabricom’s 3D models and the information used to produce engineering deliverables, whilst facilitating inter-discipline coordination and checking.  Richard will also assist with laser scanning and production of point clouds and Trueviews from these scans, in addition to some modelling within disciplines to produce standard details and libraries.

I’m sure you will all join us in wishing Richard the best of luck in his new role.
