Alex Seaton, ENGIE Fabricom’s CAD Designer has been nominated for the Institution of Engineering and Technology Apprentice of the Year Award 2017.

The award is open to all apprentices on an IET approved apprenticeship scheme who have made a substantial contribution to the development of a new product, service, or process and have shown exceptional commitment to engineering or technology, through their technical and professional development.

Alex’s assessor put her forward for her hard work, commitment and understanding of the industry.  Alex has proven her competency of engineering principles through responsibility with key projects; including retaining the knowledge, understanding of the work and having the ability to apply the knowledge whilst displaying capabilities to suitably adapt to suit the situation, the client and the respective industry.

The 2017 short-listed candidates will be invited to The IET Achievement Awards Ceremony, which takes place in London on 15 November 2017 where the winner in each category will be announced.

This is a high profile event which will be attended by influential people offering excellent networking opportunities and providing the winners with an opportunity to raise their profile within the engineering industry.

The prize will consist of a trophy, certificate, £1,000 and two years free IET membership.
